Raising Over £7,000 for Our Nominated Charity

The highlight of this year was our successful fundraising campaign for our nominated charity. Mobilizing our community brought not just awareness to the cause but also demonstrated the kindness and generosity that lives within us.

We organized diverse events, from the successful relaunch of our Spring ball which had over 100 participants to smaller social events at local bars in Bristol. Each of these events not only raised critical funds but also strengthened our community bonds, creating a sense of togetherness.

The exhilaration felt during the final tally announcement was palpable, sparking cheers and celebrations from everyone involved. This powerful moment reminded us of our collective potential when united for a common cause.

Supporting Additional Charities

While our fundraising efforts for our nominated charity were central, we expanded our reach by supporting various other charities, each addressing unique community needs. Our initiatives included collecting over 500 items for local food banks and partnering with youth programs that support over 150 young talents.

Each charity we supported not only benefited from our contributions but also educated our community on their specific challenges. For example, our collaboration with the youth programs helped 20 aspiring artists and entrepreneurs gain skills and confidence.

Sponsoring a Star for the Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal

An exciting and creative highlight was our sponsorship of a star for the Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal. 2024 was their fourth year lighting up Bristol Children’s Hospital with their iconic, animated display. It’s thanks to generous individuals and companies such as ourselves that they can give this magical gift to patients, families and staff at Bristol Children’s Hospital.

The Grand Appeal is all about making a difference for children in need and their families! By sponsoring a star, we not only supported this incredible cause but also found a fun way to rally our community together. The Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal achieved an amazing milestone by raising £40,500 for their groundbreaking new patient hotel, and we were thrilled to play a part in gathering these funds!

Reviving Tradition: The Return of Our Beloved Spring Ball

This year, we triumphantly brought back our long-awaited spring ball, an event our community had been eagerly anticipating for ages! The planning committee poured their hearts into every detail, ensuring an evening that went above and beyond all expectations. The Luke Wheaton Legacy Trust

This year our sponsors Fuseland have nominated The Luke Wheaton Legacy Trust as the charity we will be supporting for this year.

Luke, a much loved inspirational son, friend and passionate sportsman who had recently started his apprenticeship. He sadly lost his life in the tragic Avonmouth accident in 2020 at the age of 16.

His legacy will live on and the trust will continue to support and encourage underprivileged young people on their journey through life.

The Trusts objective is to help, support and prepare disadvantaged young people, regardless of background or disability, into skilled work such as apprenticeships by providing training courses, improving skills, communication and providing financial support for tools.

As Luke was passionate about health, fitness and sport the Trust will also offer any financial support that encourages or allows disadvantaged young people to get access to and excel in fitness and sport by providing club funding, sports equipment, sports kit, club fees (subs) or pay for extra swimming lessons etc.
